Marian Hemar was a multifaceted Polish creative, excelling in various fields including poetry, journalism, playwriting, comedy writing, and songwriting. Born in 1901 as Marian Hescheles, he later adopted the pen name Hemar, derived from the initial letters of his surname and given name. His literary career was marked by prolific output, particularly in the realm of songwriting, where he demonstrated remarkable productivity.

By the onset of World War II, Hemar had already composed an impressive 1,200 songs, featuring popular hits like Może kiedyś innym razem and Upić się warto. His work in the music field showcased his talent for crafting widely appealing and enduring songs. Throughout his life, Hemar continued to contribute to Polish literature and music, leaving a lasting legacy until his passing in 1972.
