Zina Goldstein was a talented Yiddish theatre actress and singer, born in the city of Minsk. Her family, who shared her musical inclination, encouraged her to pursue a career in singing. This support led her to join Aryeh Schlossberg's chorus, where she initially took on small roles. As her career progressed, Goldstein's talent earned her prominent positions in various theatre troupes, including Abram Yitzhak Zandberg's Groys teater in Łódź, where she became the prima donna.
Goldstein's career continued to flourish as she worked with notable troupes, such as Rapel's and Kaminsky's. The outbreak of World War I marked a significant turning point in her career, as she became the primadonna at the Scala Theater in Łódź, which was run by Julius Adler and Herman Sierocki. During her time at the Scala Theater, Goldstein performed in numerous European operettas, showcasing her versatility and skill as a performer. Although her work is often associated with the theatre, Goldstein is also recognized in the context of film, highlighting her broader contribution to the performing arts.
