Gene Simmons

Gene Simmons is a musician of Israeli and American descent, born in 1949. He is best known for his role as the bassist and co-lead singer of the iconic hard rock band Kiss. Simmons co-founded Kiss in 1973 alongside Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss, and he remained a constant member of the band for several decades. As a key figure in Kiss, Simmons developed a distinctive stage persona known as "the Demon," which has become an integral part of his public image.

In addition to his work with Kiss, Simmons has also pursued other ventures, including a reality television show called Gene Simmons Family Jewels, which aired from 2006 to 2012. He is also recognizable for his exceptionally long tongue, which has become one of his signature physical characteristics. Simmons' contributions to the music world were formally recognized in 2014, when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Kiss. He continued to perform with the band until its dissolution in 2023, marking the end of a remarkable era in rock music.
