Michael Lange

Michael Lange is an American television director and record producer, born in 1950. He initially developed his interest in drama during his college years, where he was actively involved in theatre productions as both an actor and director. Lange's formal education in theatre took place at George Washington University, laying the groundwork for his future career. Following his college years, he established his own regional theatre in Teaneck, New Jersey, and later transitioned into the advertising industry.

Lange's career in television direction began to take shape in 1982, when he worked as a post-production assistant on The Fall Guy. He went on to accumulate an extensive portfolio, directing over 240 television episodes for notable shows such as The O.C., Beverly Hills, 90210, and The X-Files. In addition to his television work, Lange has directed feature films and television movies, including Intern and Jumping Ship. He has also held executive production roles for series like Greek and Drop Dead Diva. More recently, Lange co-founded Flashbang Productions, LLC in 2010 and launched his own radio show and podcast, From The Set With Michael Lange, in 2018.
