Yitzchak Ratner

Yitzchak Ratner was a 19th-century Jewish mathematician who made notable contributions to the field. Despite being associated with the literary movement of the Jewish Enlightenment, his work primarily focused on mathematical and astronomical topics. Ratner's written works include Mishpat Emet, published in 1884, which presented a critical analysis of Lichtenfeld's pamphlets that opposed Slonimski's works. Additionally, he played a significant role in preserving and promoting Slonimski's mathematical legacy by editing the second edition of Yesodei Chokmat ha-Shi'ur in 1898.
