Riff Raff (rapper)

Riff Raff is an American rapper born in 1982, hailing from Katy, Texas. His music career began to take shape in 2011 when he was managed by OG Ron C, co-founder of Swishahouse. This marked the start of his professional journey in the music industry. He initially signed with Stacks on Deck Entertainment, a record label founded by Soulja Boy, before moving on to work with other notable labels.

Riff Raff released his debut studio album, Neon Icon, in 2014 under Diplo's Mad Decent label. Although the album received mixed reviews from critics, it managed to moderately chart on the Billboard 200. He followed this up with his second album, Peach Panther, released in 2016 by Warner Records, which also entered the Billboard 200. Prior to the release of Peach Panther, Riff Raff had entered into a significant joint partnership worth US$4 million with Stampede Management and BMG for his Neon Nation label and production company. However, the partnership ultimately dissolved due to legal disputes that arose after the 2012 film Spring Breakers.
